The hinges you need to purchase for your front door or back door are typically different than the hinges you need to purchase for the rest of the rooms in your house. These doors are considered exterior doors and will usually be between 1 5/8" and 1 3/4" thick. Most exterior front doors or back doors will have one of the following hinge sizes installed on it: 4" Square, 4" with 5/8" Radius Corner, 4" with 1/4" Radius Corner, or 4" with 5/8" Square Radius Corner.
